Spicy in Mangoe
There's been a lot of seismic activity lately. A quake on sunday evening (precisely
when mom and my brother were looking for a new pupuseria) has apparently
activated some faults.
Nothing otherwordly, really.
But what's fun is that it got a
small note on a
newspaper in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
They probably didn't have much to report that morning.
So Deacon released the second Gundam 00F chapter. Turns out over-excited and
nervous-wreck Eco Calore isn't exactly the best pilot Veda ever scouted (and
apparently, he's actually the worst pilot that Veda ever scouted). So what
exactly is his job in Fereshte, aside from being bullied by Fon. Did Veda
realized that Eco wasn't exactly what it needed, couldn't let him go because he
knew to much and decided to place him where he wouldn't be much of a burden?
In any case, the dynamics between Eco and Fon are very funny. Even moreso,
when you consider that Eco is a 30 year old guy who allows 18 year old Fon to
walk all over him.
And I have just realized that the F in 00F probably means Fereshte,
and not Fon as I had previously thought.
June will see the release of a prequel drama cd centered on Setsuna. Not that
it matters much, since drama cds aren't translated much. Unless Bandai puts the
drama cd in the limited edition release, instead of an OST or single.
If they also add the Gundam 00F manga instead of one of the normal manga
adaptations of the series, it will be even better.
And I just received the most awesome wrong call in my cell phone, by a lady
that sounded like a foreigner, claming to be my mom. It was fun when she
realized she had called the wrong number. I think she was calling from the
States because the phone number doesn't display in my received calls list.
Having just three numbers in 8 digits, my number is really hard to dial by
mistake...
And the "Spicy in mangoe" title?
Well, I know I'm not a very good translator, and just today I had to
translate into english some design specs for a car dealer showroom. Even so, I
don't make this kind of Engrish mistakes (photo blatantly stolen from
elsalvador.com):

Not to mention the fact that the word "mangoe" doesn't even exist in the
English language. It's "mango" in singular and "mangoes" in plural. "Mangoe"
isn't plural of anything.
And those things are going to be exported. I understand exporting mangoes
since it's a variety not available in the States... but pineapples?.
Feeling: amused
Now playing: Nuoo!
