More games, dvds and manga

I had been lately complaining that all Reborn games were either being
released for the PS2 or the Nintendo DS. My PS2 can't play import games because
it's not modded, and I have no intention of buying a DS in the near future,
unless it's Tales of games get released in this side of the Pacific.

But, there will be a

Reborn game for the PSP
. Yay! Finally! I will certainly have to import this.
Fighting games aren't as hard to figure out as RPGs, though I might need a FAQ
to work out special attacks and box weapons. Hope Gokudera does get the Sistema
C.A.I.

Didn't have to wait long to get my hands on a copy of Texhnolyze at
MixUp, since they actually had one on hand (which would have eaten me had it
been a tiger).

The two movies and two series Alter Films have actually been sub-licensed
from the now-defunct Geneon USA. Which makes me wonder what does this kind of
sub-licenses actually entail. There have also been rumors that Geneon isn't
really dead and that they may make a comeback.

In any case, Alter Films' Texhnolize release is really nice. Comes in
a dvd jewel box instead of the usual black or transparent keepcases. It has
Japanese and English language tracks, with English and Spanish subtitles. Extras
are an image gallery, character profiles and trailers for the Armitage
and Appleseed movies. A trailer for Ergo Proxy would have been
awesome, but I can't complain. It's more than what Mexican releases usually get.

I still want an artbox for Saint Seiya.

I'm amazed at the post office today! My orders from DVD Pacific have taken
around three weeks to arrive. ZegaPain 5 was shipped on June 2 and
arrived today. Not even ten days! Now to wait for 6.

I guess DVD Pacific has now become my sole source for R1 imports. They
awesome.

Not exactly news, but Tokyopop has laid off personnel, will divide into two
branches and will kill several manga series they were publishing. Also getting
the axe are the light novels, which effectively kills any hope of them ever
fixing the Kino no Tabi problems. The only titles I had been buying from
them on a regular basis were Shutterbox and any Gundam title they
decided to license. Tavisha Simmons has alredy said that Shutterbox is
safe from the axe, so it will end in volume 6 as originally planned. Ecole du
Ciel
, though, is the one I'm afraid for. They'll probably just release what
they have and leave it at that.

And that also means they won't release any other Gundam titles in the
near and far future. I now have a sudden urge to release what I scanned into the
World Wide Web. I should wait and see what happens.

Feeling: amused

Now playing: Gaia Gear VS Bromb Texter (Gaia Gear OST 2)
