Started today on Vril Dox's plushie and the study of Simeon's Paul. Paul is a bit tricky, though, because his face is noe the kind of face I'm used to drawing. The quick sketch turned out pretty good, though he looks a bit psycho (hopefully he won't look like that when the whole plushie comes together). It's a challenge I'm enjoying.

Vril's face... I'm thinking of doing it in my style. Making a Machiavellian despot look cute will be fun. The hair will be another challenge, since it's close-cropped.

My makeshift workspace is looking like this currently. Arashi loves to lie down right beneath my feet.

That figure was a Punisher figure I painted over after seeing photos of modified figures found in Wizard magazine. Yeah... I was (and still am) a Vril Dox fangirl. Now that I think of it, Vril, Stealth and Phase were probably the first characters I ever fangirled over.

In any case, I didn't feel like going through all my L.E.G.I.O.N. and R.E.B.E.L.S. comics to look for the panel where I copied the L.E.G.I.O.N. insignia for the figure's chest, simply because Arashi is extremely curious and bites anything new within his reach to see if it tastes good. I decided to search online (and now just thought that I could just copy the one I did for the figure).

I came this article from last year. New R.E.B.E.L.S. comic! Yay! Vril Dox is back!

Actually, the first number went on sale on February. But the news have certainly made up for the "Reborn on Crunchyroll" and "MSG 0081 will be a game" bad news.

Love Vril's new threads. He looks like the badass that he is.

I wonder if I should go with the subscription or look for another way to collect it. I know the post office has changed for the better, and I've received 95% of my stuff, but I don't know if DC stills ship them in the clear bags where the comic's cover can get it confiscated or "lost". Back in the 90s I changed the subscription to mail to my home address and I only got half of them. Not ready to risk it yet...
