Finished Plushie!Paul and
some other stuff
I recently discovered my Yahoo account was still around. So I played with
the Yahoo Avatars thingy and made Fiori! Too bad it doesn't have separate
footwear, or jackets separated from shirts. I hope it doesn't make this place
look cluttered.
Painting yellow on green felt is harder than I thought. The green can still
be seen, so I guess I'll have to paint another layer. He's coming along nicely,
though.

Ok, so maybe his face didn't turn out as in the test drawing, but it's still
cool.
So many plushies I want to make... it's fun! I'll have to make a priority
list.
I had to work on Holy Week, even though Thrusday and Friday are National
Holidays. We'll get paid extra for working on those days, though. It's the law.
Extra cash is good, even if the usual taxes apply.
And here's Plushie!Paul:

He's cute, if I say so myself.
I'll make some base bodies as well. To bad I haven't been able to find color
photos of Einstein and his limited wardrobe.
I now feel confident enough to make Fiori.
Real life has been the same old, same old. Most of the interesting stuff
happens on the weekends. But things have been pretty calm overall. Nothing to
talk about.
In the meantime, in Mangaland, I've started reading some oldie Shonen Jump
titles along with the ongoing and the new ones. City Hunter is fun
(though grammar in the scanlation can be a headache at times). Naruto and
Bleach seem to have a long way to go. I'm still trying to get up to date
with Eyeshield 21 (interestingly enough, even though I knew next to
nothing about american football and I still can't understand when I watch it on
ESPN, ES21 has been more captivating than Prince of Tennis was).
D.Gray-man is back, though the Timothy arc was annoying, it's getting
interesting now. In Reborn, Kyoko and Haru now know the whole truth about
the Vongola and the mafia, and the battle with the Real Funeral Wreaths is
approaching fast. Neuro had a natural ending. Psyren has survived
6 cancellations (and in overall rankings, it's doing better than the mangaka's
previous title Mieru Hito), so maybe it's safe to consider it one of the
ongoing ones. Besides, TYL!children and Shiner are awesome. Nurarihyon no
Mago is also a survivor. I love the mixture of modern manga art and
traditional youkai art. And new comer Beelzebub is funny. I hope it
sticks around long.
And I guess this is all for another uninteresting week.
Feeling: amused
