Fancy pastry
Thing to look forward in 2010: War of the World: Goliath.
Aside from the fact that Adrian Paul and Peter Wingfield (who played my two
favorite Highlander immortals) will be voicing characters. I noticed that
AFTER I watched the trailer. I like the idea of mankind basing their technology
on Martian technology. The steam-powered three-legged mechs are awesome.
But, because the movie is not aimed at children, at all, it's
going to suffer the same fate as Robotech: Shadow Chronicles and
Highlander: Quest for Vengeance. Meaning that it will never get a proper
cinematic showing in this country. Wait... those two weren't actually shown in
movie theaters (only in quite a few actually): If I remember correctly, they
were dvd releases. So maybe Goliath might get shown here.
Otherwise I will probably end up doing some illegal internet
searching while hoping that MixUp will actually sell at least the R1 DVD. Though
so far, I haven't had any luck with the Robotech and Highlander
movies, either in R1 or R4.
If I do go to New York as planned, those two are definetely on
my list.
Reborn will get two new character albums. One for Byakuran and
Shoichi Irie, appropiately named White Spell, and one for Gamma and Uni, named
Black Spell. I can easily imagine Byakuran using the words "marshmellow" and
"world conquest" in the same sentence (now that I think about it,
isn't that what the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man was all about?).
I was in the mood for a little bit of fancy pastry today, so I
went to Shaw's and bought this little cutie called opera to eat at home.

Though when it comes to fancy settings, this might not be up to
standards. No fancy Victorian-styled tea set at hand, and mom refused to lend me
her expensive tea set. I like a little fanciness once in a while, no matter how
otaku I can be.
The chantilly cream layers have started to wreak havok on my
stomach, but it was worth it. I just noticed that the design on the paper napkin
matches the design on the plate XD.
Now there is word that Tokyopop hasn't completely dropped Kino
no Tabi (or their whole light novel line, for that matter). Though I've had no
luck locating the ANN article mentioned
here. An actual press release from Tokyopop's part would be nice.
On another note, another of my recent favorite Shonen Jump
titles, Nurarihyon no Mago (which I don't know why I rarely mention,
aside from the ocassional Gozumaru, Nezumaru and Gyuuki fangirlism), will get a
drama cd. Which, they say, is one step closer to getting an anime adaption.
Though I can't remember how many volumes Reborn had when
it got the anime treatment, Nura only has 7 volumes at this moment, which
enough chapters for two more volumes (it hasn't reached the 100 chapter mark
yet). So I think that even 2010 is too soon for a Nura anime. Maybe by
the end of 2010.
Psyren's fanbase is also growing, not at the same rate
that Nura's fanbase grew (Psyren started on December 2007, while
Nura is from the March 2008 batch), but it's growing nonetheless. I want
a Psyren anime as well. Either is good. Even if it's a short one.
Tomorrow there's a midnight shuttle launch. My calculations
(which could be extremely wrong) say that it could be at around 11:00 p.m. local
time. I'll have to keep an eye on the coundown clock after work.
Feeling: calm
Now playing:
Suna no Oshiro (Vampire Knight Guilty ED single)
