Weekend post, yay!
Happy Independence Day? It's still September, so it's valid. As usual, I had
to work on the 15, but we did get to watch part of the parade that marched right
in front of the building. To bad cameras aren't allowed inside. And it's a few
extra bucks for working on a holiday.
Dear dental assistants... why the hell are you asking if a three year old
child has any periodontal history or any denture history.
After my
dissapointment with the 2009 Gundam 00 calendar, and because I don't
want another Gundam SEED calendar that showcases the "goodness" of Kira
and Lacus, I ordered one of the Reborn calendars for 2010.
It seems that the fourth book in the Tunnels saga will the titled Closer,
and will be out next year. In the mean time, I just can't wait for the spanish
release of Free Fall.
I didn't intend to originally go the Corp. Capsula Two Cosplay event, but
Ciel and Shiden convinced me to go. In the end Ciel couldn't go, but I met up
with Shiden and the rest of the famiglia. This time Chrome went as
Code Geass´ Kallen, but she's still Chrome to me XD. Now she want to go a
Lal Milch for the Sora event.
In any case, the event itself was so-so. Noisy as hell, hot, and I could only
bear to be in the locale for about half and hour before I had the need to run
out and get some fresh air. But the famiglia was awesome, and I really
enjoyed myself. We found a Lambo for the Yume group cosplay!
You've watched to much Reborn when there is a bunch of people you call
famiglia...
I bought a small Gokudera figure that was clearly a bootleg, and which will
probably be tortured once I have the chance to get an official one.
The memo function on my new phone is useful for writing down snippets when
plotbunnies strike in the middle of nowhere.
In this week's Psyren, Ageha is back in his time and has to deal with
all the problems of having dissapeared for 10 days. Wouldn't have been much of a
problem, except for the fact that he was last seen in the company of famous
actor Mochizuki Oboro (who we all know is also a Drifter and is right now stuck
in Psyren). Of course, the fact that Ageha has appeared while Oboro is still
missing, makes reporters think that Ageha was a kidnaper. Oboro is the older of
the two, he was wearing a disguise and doing the driving, so why wasn't he
suspected as the kidnapper and Ageha as the kidnapped?
In any case, Ageha finally tells a police detective that he had eloped with
Amamiya and that he doesn't know what happened to Oboro after they parted ways
at the airport, which the officer doesn't really believe but still let's Ageha
off the hook. He also has to lie to Papa Asaga about not knowing where his son
is (as if he can say "oh yeah, your son is in an apocaliptic future where he
found his long lost loverbest friend and is trying to return
him to normal so that they can return together!").
Granny Elmore decides that reporters are going to be a problem and has
Ageha's family (Ageha, sister and dad) and Amamiya live with them for the time
being.
Ageha's dad looks like a woman...
In this week's Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Gokudera and Yamamoto try to
attack Zakuro, but Squalo stops them and orders them to take Uni and leave the
base while he fights the intruder. Unfortunately, Squalo seems to be no match
for Zakuro, and looses his sword arm, again (though, considering that the first
time he lost it he actually cut it off himself to be on the same level as the
Sword Emperor, I don't think it counts). Where's Fran when Squalo needs him the
most?
So basically the chapter is Tsuna and co. leaving the base, while it blows
up, and trying to decide the best place to go to. Tsuna's house and Kokuyoland
are out of the question since they're already in Millefiore's sights. Until Haru
remembers that she knows an old lady that had often offered her a safehouse just
in case. Turns out the lady is dead and in her place is a man that was often
mentioned but never before seen.
Whenever the Ten-Years Bazooka was used on I-pin, her TYL!self was always in
a hurry to deliver ramen to a Mr. Kawahiro. Even her character song revolves
around that gag. The way TYL!I-pin would always talk about him, it made me
believe that he was a grumpy old man, the type that would threaten younsters
with his cane. Turns out that Mr. Kawahiro is a hottie, and is not only in the
know regarding the Funeral Wreaths, but offers them shelter and says he will
take care of the FW, whatever that means exactly (since it can mean that he can
delay them, distract them, attack them or shield the Vongola from them).
And where IS Gamma?
I should do a little summary/review for Nurarihyon no Mago... not that
I have done one for Psyren either (just chapter summaries recently).
Youkai Gyuki demands it.
Feeling: amused
