Just the usual
Another book that called me the moment I set foot onthe store. This time it
was a little Mexican jewel titled Sho-shan y La Dama Oscura. It was
basically a light novel that I just couldn't put down from beginning to end and
that I read yesterday afternoon. Ok. I did put the book down a couple of times,
I'm afraid to admit. But it was because I was actually afraid of what was going
to happen to the characters if I kept reading... call me silly, I know.
But I loved it. Really loved it. Enough to actually write a
little summary (in spanish) over at the AnG Forums.
I just saw the video for Fools Garden new song "High Time". Love the song. I
want it.
On other news, I'm never, ever, making the overtime thing again. At least not
if I have to go early in the morning and having to actually stay 12 1/2 hours.
It was only for three days, but at the end of the third I was burned out and
quite miserable on thursday and friday. I hope the extra cash is worth it.
And I no longer want Animax. Not with the news that they now have almost the
whole morning of infomercials and that are slowly replacing anime with western
live-action series, much of the distaste of the channel's actual viewers who
were their original target audience. Not to mention that they still haven't
aired series that had been announced in early 2008.
In the meantime Zaz is including more anime in it's programming. Reborn
would be great there <- whistful thinking.
Watching Dragon Ball Z over again, I'm reminded of how much I loved to
ship Gohan and Piccoro. And I'm only at the beginning of Gohan's survival
training.
In this week's Psyren, Amamiya realizes the damage Usui did when he
used his memory erasure technique on her. Because the attack only ate away at
some memories, it allowed her Dark Side to roam free in her mind. Dark Amamiya
actually relishes the indifference her parents show over her dissapearance. She
freaks our over this, of course, and Ageha decides to cheer her up and promises
to stary by her side to help get through it.
In the meantime, Matsuri recruits Kagetora to help her investigate the
orphanage Amagi Miroki and Mommy Q came from. Kagetora in turn recruits Haruhiko
and Lan. And they arrive at the orphanage only to bump straight into
Pre-Declaration of War Junas. I don't think a fight will break out, though.
First Kabuto and then Amamiya have meet the personification of their psy/dark
side. Oboro probably met his while in the Dead Sea. Though Kabuto's is friendly
and cares about Kabuto, Amamiya's wants to take over. This does not bode well
for our Drifters.
This week's Reborn. Kawahiro isn't revealing much about himself yet.
It seems that most Mist users like to keep things misterious.
In any case, in the Namimori school grounds, Daisy opens the box in his body,
becoming lizard-like. Because King-of-all-Cosmos-wanabee Byakuran has seen
Dino's techniques in another reality, Daisy is able to easily defeat him.
Hibari grows annoyed since the fight is in his beloved school and he IS the
head of the school's Disciplinary Comitee after all (and it's probably past his
nap time), so he opens his Vongola Box, revealing the weapon of choice of the
Vongola's first Cloud Guardian: a pair of handcuffs. Well, if Vongola Quarto
fought with a fork and Vongola Quinto with a tuning fork, why not handcuffs?
Now I want to see the weapons of the remaining Guardians. Gokudera's might be
a projectile weapon.
And Gokudera dear, now might be a good time to have that long due chat with
Bianchi, before she decides to fight a FW in order to protect you.
And in a way, I'm kind of hoping that Fran is the Varia's hidden ace, an
anomaly not present in the other realities, and thus unknown to Byakuran. What
is it about Fran, anyways?
The cover of volume 26, with the King-of-all-Cosmos-wanabee with all of his
pink glory,

And Nurarihyon no Mago's seventh volume has the Keikain clan's onmyoujis,

I'm going to buy volume 2. Besides supporting a title I like, I need the
image on the cover for a non-plushie Gyuuki project my mind has cooked up.
And there's word that negociations are on to license Psyren in Spain.
It's pretty exciting, even though I'm still looking for a way to buy Reborn.
Even though it's going to be Glenat the one that is looking to get Psyren,
there's no guarantee that local bookstore will sell it here. They only sell the
better known Glenat titles.
When he's shedding, Arashi hates it when I start pulling out loose fur.
Probably because it tickles.
I should be working on unnamed plushie right now...
