"Waiter, there are Saiyans on
my chicken nuggets"
First things first. The dog rescue organization ARANI is looking for homes
for 25 dogs recovered from dog-hoarding (basically, a lady that rescued two
dogs, didn't spay them, so the 2 dogs became 25), so if any of my Salvadorean
readers known of someone looking for a loving dog, please tell them.
Week was horrible in terms of workload, leaving me rather exhausted and
making me dream about weird teeth diseases (like teeth becoming crystalline and
you coukd see the nerves...) and earthquakes... I did feel the quake on Thursday
night, but last night... was there really a quake of did I just dream it?
Not to mention my wonky health caused by Hurricane Rick in the Pacific, which
made me really cranky with all the whinny callers. Have I mentioned that I
suffer from Barometic Pressure Headaches? I do. It was only recently that I
learned that it had a name.
There were nice callers as well, of course, like the lady that says that she
loves my accent, and the lady with whom we were laughing at her patient's bad
penmanship, made funnier by the fact that all came from the same employer.
OC plushie, which ended up being called Carlos, has been finished and
delivered. Chrome and Lambo are almost done as well. Chrome is missing her
"nappo" tuft of hair and Lambo is missing his... all of his hair, actually. I
will upload Carlos to DA tomorrow.
And all three beans from Experiment 2 have sprouted, and one of them is
already showing leaves. I'll make them a framework to wrap themselves to.
Now to the usual anime stuff.
Leaving aside all the Naruto hype and merchandising, Dragon Ball
is still beloved in Latin America. Heck, there's a saying that you're not a
Latinamerican otaku if you haven't watched Dragon Ball and Saint Seiya
at least twice... but I digress. Locally, I've seen more Dragon Ball than Naruto
merchandise. On a supermarket trip around the middle of the week, I found this
little treasure in the frozen foods section:

This photo is the
box that's currently sitting in my freezer, waiting to be eaten.
Yeah. I actually bought it. Because I though it was fun and because it has
actually been years since I've eaten Patties (though I don't think the taste is
going to be any different).
I wonder when we'll see the Naruto Cup Noodles.
This week's Psyren. Junas takes Caprico (currently known as Riko
Hachiboshi) and runs off. Caprico tells him she got the scar on her forehead
after falling off a cliff and has been drawing since then. She asks him if he'll
lock her up and take away her sketchbook, to which Junas answers that he's
taking her to a place where she can draw to her heart's content, so she agrees
to go with him.
Kagetora and Haruhiko pursue them using Lan's Trick Room. Of course, Kagetora
and Junas fight. And by stopping Junas' knife with his forehead, Kagetora
becomes an honorary member of the
Tomoe Club for
Hard-Headed People.
Looks like Junas will get serious.
I'm starting to think that our Drifter's search for the present Amagi Miroku
might actually make matters worse when the Declaration of War and the Day of
Rebirth come around.
This week's Reborn. Yamamoto wants to go back to the base to check on
Squalo (seriously Yama, you've been worried about Squalo ever since he stayed
behind. Makes one wonder...) and since there's no stopping him, Giannini,
Bianchi and Spanner decide to go with him (Giannini wants to survey the damage
to the base, Bianchi wants to retrieve something and Spanner wants to look for
parts for a new Mosca). After they leave, Tsuna thinks that something isn't
right but dismisses it (which will teach him not to ignore his hyper-intuition).
Lambo wants to play with Uni, but both Uni and Chrome start feeling that
something evil is near, until Chrome realizes that Lambo is not Lambo.
Torikabuto had entered when Yama was leaving, tied up Lambo under the couch
and took his place. So he grabbed Uni and meets with Bluebell and Kikyo, who
start attacking Tsuna and co. But Uni is rescued by none other than Gamma,
Norazu and Tazaru (yay, Gamma!). Norazu, Tazaru and Gamma's foxes get defeated,
though, and all seems lost when Tsuna get's his act together and saves Uni and
Gamma.
Byakuran will find it hard to recover Uni, but it looks like the Vongola will
have to either face Byakuran head on or keep changing hiding places.
In meantime, between Stockholm syndrome settling down on Gohan on Dragon
Ball Z and Sandybell rescuing a baby that was kidnapped by mistake in
Hello, Sandybell, I realized why I like V Gundam's maligned Katejina.
Compared to Sandybell's Kitty, Katejina is a saint.
*Blackie goes to watch the recap and the new Reborn episode*.
Feeling: tired
Now playing:
